The United Way is committed to ensuring access to immediate support for families and individuals. We invest in numerous programs across both Haldimand and Norfolk Counties to give Canadians the ability to stabilize, avoid or move out of the cycle of poverty.
The United Way partners with all levels of government, the business community, human service organizations and community members to identify, address and alleviate the barriers children and youth face from “cradle to career.”
Donating to the United Way is a tangible way to create change in Haldimand and Norfolk Counties. Change can start with two people at a community meeting, at a board meeting or in a classroom. Once it starts, it grows. As change happens, new things are possible.
Every day volunteers across the country come together to make a lasting difference in their communities by contributing their time, expertise and talents to their United Ways Centraides. Volunteers are critical to our operations and we wouldn’t be able to inspire change without you.
The United Way invests in programs that help create neighbourhoods that are vibrant, where residents can experience a sense of safety and well-being. We assist residents to identify community strengths and leverage resident knowledge, skills and experience
The United Way supports priority needs where funding is otherwise not available, funding programs that provide services to seniors, individuals, families and children in our community – many of whom live below the poverty line.
